The farm “Lord Baltimore” is in the village Higueron in the municipality of Pitalito and it belongs to Deiro Garcia Botina. He is 34 years old and has been harvesting this farm for the last 4 years. His journey with coffee started when he was young as he took different courses in production, roasting and cupping. However, he really started sowing when his brother passed away and left him the farm. Deiro has carried on what his brother started with producing excellent coffee.
This is an amazing time for Colombian coffee and especially newer processing styles. This lot is processed with anaerobic fermentation which imparts deeper fruit tones than Colombian coffees typically have. The result is a jammy, winey cup with solid sweetness and balanced acidity.
