Juan Carlos Torres is a third generation coffee producer from the Pitalito district in Huila, Colombia. He manages Finca El Porvenir with his brothers and mother. Their family business has been active for 22 years. During the off season Juan cultivates banana, cassava, corn, and beans to help sustain the 15 hectare farm. This classic, washed process coffee is fermented for about 32 hours and dried for about 14 days on raised beds under parabolic cover.
